I have always enjoyed weddings however Chanz and Candace's wedding was exceptionally nice.  Working as an assistant principal at Parkersburg South I have an wonderful opportunity to watch couples and observe how they treat each other.  I have been impressed with how Chanz and Candace have interacted with each other and their friends while they attended South.  I know that they already have a solid foundation on which to base their marriage and because of this solid foundation their marriage and life together will be successful.  I will be posting a couple of images from their wedding later today as I get time to work on them.  This week is crazy at school due to it being our last week with students and seniors are graduating tomorrow and finding time to work on their wedding pictures has been hard.

Professional Photographer's of America Business Basic's Workshop

This past weekend I traveled to Cincinnati to attend a Business Basic's Workshop offered by the Professional Photographer's of America.  Since 2006 I have been working toward creating my own photography business.  I first started working towards this goal by taking a weeklong portrait photography course from Monte Zucker (recognized by the United Nations as a world reknown photographer.)  In 2007 I attended a weeklong marketing class in Memphis and the following year I took David Ziser's Digital Master Class for a week. Each year I try to attend a seminar or weeklong class to improve my skills because I believe this is what separates an average photographer from an exceptional photographer and I don't want to be average.  Not only have I attended these educational classes I have also purchased educational video's on a variety of topics and belong to a couple of educational forums so I can improve my knowledge and skills.  I am finally finishing my plans to start a business and hope to have everything finalized this year.  I hope those of you who have been following my blog will also follow my business when I get started.  

Abby and Emily's recent visit

Abby and Emily came down from New Jersey a couple of weeks ago for a spring visit.  While they were visiting I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a few pictures.  Here are a few images from their visit.

Colt Holbert's senior pictures

I had a wonderful time photographing Colt, who is a senior at Parkersburg South High School.  As I do on many sessions I recruited his mom to be the off camera lighting expert and I think she did an excellent job.  Here are a few images from 4-9-12.
